Fees and Insurance Coverage
Payment is due at time of service. I accept Flex Spending cards, Health Savings Account cards, credit cards, cash and personal checks. Most health insurance plans do not have any IBCLC's in-network and should reimburse for your visit. Many governors have ordered insurance companies to cover telemedicine due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I am not currently able to see clients with BCBS of RI. I apologize for the inconvenience.
So that you can focus on time with your baby, I will assist you with obtaining reimbursement for your out-of-network claim. I will submit your claim for reimbursement of fees paid. Claim submission is not a guarantee of reimbursement. A referral may be needed. Please call your insurance company for your policy details.
The Affordable Care Act requires health insurance companies to cover breastfeeding counseling services "for the duration of breastfeeding. Insurers must share up-to-date information about breastfeeding counseling providers who participate in their network plans. [Note: if a plan cannot provide counseling services in-network, your plan must allow you to obtain services from an out-of-network provider at no cost.]"
