Cancellation and Illness
Please give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment so that the time may be offered to another family. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a $50 charge to your card on file. I appreciate your consideration.
CANCELLATION DUE TO ILLNESS: As a health care professional I recognize that new families must be protected from infections diseases. I will not come to your home if I am feeling unwell. Please let me know if you or an immediate household member has fever, cough, runny nose, vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours of our visit so that we may reschedule your consultation to another time. There will be no charge for cancellation due to illness. I appreciate your assistance in preventing the spread of illness to myself or other families with infants.
Failure to inform me of illness in your household will result in cancellation of your appointment and a $50 cancelation fee will be charged to your card on file.
HEALTH and HYGEINE: I will not come to your home if I am feeling unwell. All items are cleaned prior to each visit: scale, phone, iPad, and my work bag. I will wash my hands upon arrival and again throughout the visit, as needed. I wear gloves for the oral exam of your infant. I will gladly wear gloves and/or a face mask throughout your consultation at your request.
TELEHEALTH: Virtual consultations are now up and running. Many insurance companies are now covering Telehealth appointments due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There are obvious limitations to virtual consults but I will do my best to find creative solutions so that I may continue to offer exceptional lactation care.
